  • What do your services cost?
  • Can I book my preview before I sign a contract?
Some brides choose to do so, however you take the risk of losing your date between the time of inquiry and the time of your preview. Your date is not officially locked in until a deposit is sent and a contract is signed.
  • What are my steps to book Uncommon for my wedding?
After you fill out the inquiry form on our Contact page, you will sign a contract and send a deposit, then schedule your hair and/or makeup preview. Once your photographer tells you the time you need to be finished by we will then create a morning of schedule working backwards from that time.
  • What areas does your team service?
We mainly service all of New Jersey, and NYC but we will travel to wherever!
  • Are you able to service larger bridal parties?
Yes! We are a full service on site team that can work with any sized bridal party.
  • How many looks can I try?
You are able to try up to three hair styles. For makeup out artists start more natural and then can build up the look to show you different styles or levels of glam.
  • When do you offer hair and makeup previews?
We generally observe regular business hours for previews; Monday-Friday 9am to 7pm. We understand this may conflict with some work schedules, previews can technically be done at any time so we try to keep them scheduled during the week to avoid cross over for event bookings. Exceptions can be made for certain circumstances.
  • How far from my wedding date should I schedule my preview?
We suggest 3-6 months away from your date. This way your artist can recommend any skincare products, hair cuts, or extensions.
  • How long will my preview take?
Hair and Makeup previews generally take about 2-3 hours.
  • Can I book my preview on the same day as my bridal shower or engagement party?
We generally do not book previews Friday-Sunday as we are booked with other brides. We also do not recommend this for the following: -brides generally do not want the same look from their bridal shower for their wedding day -you may not always leave your preview with your ideal look. Your preview is meant to try different styles for your day of. -previews may take longer than expected if you want to try different styles or would like multiple changes
  • Where do hair and makeup previews take place?
We come to you or if you would like you can travel to your artists in home studios.
